This English translation was made by the antiquary Roger Gale, and first published in 1697. It contains pertinent material including comments on the rarity and value of coins, on counterfeiting and how to detect counterfeit coins, and advice on the studying of medals. The present edition is the second edition in English and is the same date as the second Paris edition.
